Monica Herrera: Classes & Workshops

JUST IN...
Laura Manzella will be making a short visit to New York on her way to the Albuquerque Flamenco festival in June. She wants to come back to Philadelphia to do another workshop. Check back for the dates. We had so much fun the last time she was here.

BEGINNER FLAMENCO CLASS now forming
First class scheduled to start April 6

Learn the language, technique and the different rhythms of flamenco. We will focus on technique (posture, footwork and arms).
We will be working with a musician/singer to understand how to dance to the different rhythms and interpret the different letras (verses).
Wear comfortable clothing. If you do not have flamenco shoes, wear shoes with a wooden heel that have plenty of support.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL FLAMENCO DANCE CLASS

Fridays: 6:30-8:00pm

(In Fishtown. Easily accessible via the El train, Berks stop)
This class will focus on rhythm, structure and technique. We will work with a live musician once a month to learn, as dancers, how to communicate with the musicians.

Meira will be back the weekend of March 14 to continue her beautiful tientos/tangos workshop.
She will have two seperate classes this time including the structure portion.
These classes are good for both beginner and intermediate levels as meira knows how to work with all level students in the class.

March 14 - Friday

March 15 - Saturday
tangos 6-7:30pm
tientos 7:30-9pm

March 16 - Sunday
tangos 11:30-1pm
tientos 1- 2:30pm
